Victoria Beckham, known for her unforgettable Posh Spice persona, has opened up about one of the most dramatic moments in pop history.

The 51-year-old fashion icon, fresh from the success of her hit Netflix documentary, appeared on the Call Her Daddy podcast, where she reflected on her time with the Spice Girls.

David Beckham’s wife confessed to host Alexandra Cooper that she was completely blindsided when Geri, famously known as Ginger Spice, suddenly quit the band back in 1998.

“She just left,” the mum-of-four revealed.

“We had no idea until she didn’t turn up. We can laugh about it now, but at the time we were like, ‘OK.’”

Victoria, who found global fame as part of the world’s biggest girl band, went on to recall her own departure a year later after falling pregnant with her first child, Brooklyn.

“I went on tour when I was pregnant,” she said.

After the gruelling tour, she decided to step away from the spotlight to focus on family life with David.

But the transition wasn’t easy, she admitted, explaining that going from performing around the world with her best friends to suddenly being at home with a newborn was a tough adjustment.

Despite the challenges, Victoria says she and Geri can now laugh about those wild, unforgettable Spice Girls days.

How many members were there in the iconic girl group?

The Spice Girls were a five-member British girl group that became a global pop sensation in the 1990s.

The lineup included Victoria Beckham (Posh Spice), Geri Halliwell (Ginger Spice), Melanie Brown (Scary Spice), Melanie Chisholm (Sporty Spice), and Emma Bunton (Baby Spice).

What are the Spice Girls’ biggest hits?

Some of the Spice Girls’ most famous hits include Wannabe, Say You’ll Be There, 2 Become 1, Spice Up Your LifeStop, and Viva Forever

These chart-topping songs defined 1990s pop culture and helped cement the group’s status as one of the most successful and influential girl bands in music history.

When did the band break up and why?

They officially went on hiatus in 2000, two years after Geri Halliwell left the group in May 1998.

Geri’s departure came just before their North American tour, citing differences and exhaustion.

The remaining four members continued performing until late 2000, when they announced they were taking an indefinite break to pursue solo careers.
