Alec Baldwin has finally broken his silence after a terrifying car crash in the Hamptons that left his wife Hilaria’s car completely wrecked.
The 67-year-old actor, widely recognised for his role in 30 Rock, revealed he was driving a white Range Rover in East Hampton, New York, on Monday with his brother Stephen Baldwin when they faced the incident.
In a candid Instagram video, Alec explained, “This guy cut me off in a truck — a garbage truck the size of a whale. To avoid hitting him, I hit a big fat tree and crushed my wife’s car.”
Luckily, both Alec and his brother escaped unhurt.
“I’m fine, my brother’s fine,” he assured fans, before thanking the East Hampton Police Department for their swift response.
“The car’s totally smashed up,” he added. “Big tree. Big fat tree.”
The actor is now heading to Los Angeles to be with Hilaria, who was recently eliminated from Dancing With The Stars.
“I can’t wait to see my family,” Baldwin said. “Hilaria, I love you more than anything and I’m so proud of you.”
Hilaria Baldwin was eliminated from Dancing With The Stars after failing to get enough viewer votes despite positive judge feedback.
Following her exit, she said online bullying and harsh criticism contributed to her departure, admitting she felt “bullied off” the show.
Fans have since supported her, praising her effort and grace throughout the competition.
