James Corden shares his hopes for his 3 children’s future careers
Former late show host James Corden says his son, Max, "loves going to the theater."
British comedian and television host James Corden has big dreams for his kids, but his three children are still too young to achieve them.
Corden, who shares three kids, Max, 13, Carey, 10, and Charlotte, 7, with wife Julia Carey, isn’t sure if his children are interested in acting yet, but he’s excited to see what the future holds for them.
On the opening night of Corden’s new Broadway show ART, he said about his kids’ potential careers, “Maybe, we’ll see. They’re a little young at the minute to figure it out, but we’ll see.”
The comedian noted that he doesn’t worry about his children’s career choices as long as they follow a path that brings them joy.
“I hope they find the thing that they love doing more than anything,” he added. “I don’t really mind what that is, so long as it’s nothing to do with me in a sense. I’d love it if they find something they’re passionate about. It would be great.”
However, Corden did reveal that one of his children already has a deep interest in theatre and the arts.
In September, during his appearance on Late Night with Seth Meyers, Corden shared that his son Max “loves going to the theater” and “loves all arts”, and that still holds true today.
“He’s always pretty passionate, and he just loves New York,” the comedian told PEOPLE. “He came back out for opening night [of ART]… He basically refused not to be here. He just said, ‘Guys, I’m coming.’ So yeah, bless him.”
