Scott Wolf makes big comeback after painful split from wife Kelley

Scott Wolf is making a comeback both on screen and in life, just months after filing for divorce from his wife of 21 years, Kelley Wolf.

The 56-year-old actor, best known for his role in Party of Five, has confirmed that he will be returning to Fox’s hit medical drama Doc for its second season.

In a cheerful Instagram video, he announced his return as Dr. Richard Miller, gushing, “I could not be more excited to share that I’ll be coming back for season 2 of Doc! It’s full of surprises — thank you all for the love and support!”

The post, shared jointly with Sony Pictures TV and Doc’s official account, was flooded with love from fans and castmates. 

Charlotte Fountain-Jardim cheered, “WOOOOO!!,” while Amirah Vann wrote, “So happy to have our brother back!!”

Co-showrunners Barbie Kligman and Hank Steinberg teased that fans won’t be disappointed, hinting, “No one expected him to come back to Westside like this — least of all Amy (Molly Parker).”

Scott’s professional high comes as he navigates a deeply personal low, balancing the excitement of his career resurgence with the emotional challenges of his recent split.

In June, he announced that he was parting ways with Kelley, saying, “After 21 years of marriage, I have made the most difficult decision of my life.”

For the unversed, the couple share three children, Jackson, 16, Miller, 12, and Lucy, 11, with Scott currently holding temporary sole custody.

Why Kelley Wolf was arrested?

Kelley Wolf, Scott’s estranged wife, was arrested in late August 2025 and charged with two misdemeanors, electronic communication harassment and the electronic disclosure of personal information.

According to reports, the charges came after she allegedly shared several heated posts on social media, including one that revealed Scott’s personal phone number.

The post reportedly led to the actor receiving a flood of calls and messages, prompting legal action.

Earlier in the summer, the 48-year-old actress had already raised concern when police conducted a wellness check at a Utah resort after she made troubling comments online and to family members. 

She was taken to a hospital for evaluation and later confirmed she had been placed under an involuntary psychiatric hold, though she denied suffering from any mental illness, describing the experience as “surviving an involuntary 5150.”

Following her arrest, Kelley was released under strict conditions, including staying away from potential witnesses, avoiding drugs and alcohol, and continuing behavioral or psychiatric treatment.
