Taylor Swift, known for her chart-topping hits, is treating Swifties to a dazzling build-up ahead of release day on October 3.

The 34-year-old pop sensation has once again rewritten the rulebook with her hotly anticipated album The Life of a Showgirl.

The upcoming album has already smashed past five million pre-saves on Spotify, eclipsing her own record set earlier this year with The Tortured Poets Department.

The streaming giant marked the milestone by announcing that it will now publish weekly charts of the most pre-saved albums on its Upcoming Releases hub, shining a spotlight on the world’s most eagerly awaited drops.

Spotify executive Madeleine Bennett hailed the move as “a powerful new way to build anticipation.”

As part of the celebrations, a three-day pop-up experience in New York will allow Swifties to hunt for Easter eggs, while cinemas worldwide will host The Official Release Party of a Showgirl.

The event promises the world premiere of her new single The Fate of Ophelia, along with unseen behind-the-scenes footage, lyric videos, and cut-by-cut commentary from the singer herself.

In a video message, Swift revealed that CDs will include photocards, while vinyl editions will feature unique poems and lavish extras, adding that the project was designed as “a nod to the luxury a showgirl puts on when she is on stage.”

What is the title of Taylor Swift’s eleventh studio album?

Taylor Swift released her eleventh studio album, The Tortured Poets Department, on April 19, 2024.

The record dropped as a surprise double album, with 31 tracks in total, making it her longest release to date.
