Julia Garner embodies Madonna in photoshoot before biopic

Julia Garner seems to be ready to go when it comes to Madonna’s biopic, which is an idea that has been in the works for several years now.

The Ozark actress has been attached with the project since 2022, but the movie appears to be slow or halted in its development.

In a photoshoot for CR Fashion Book, the three-time Emmy winner’s hair and makeup seemed like a nod to mid-century Hollywood glamour.

The Weapons star also shared an uncanny resemblance to the pop star, with her short blonde locks being reminiscent of the latter’s 1986 album True Blue’s cover.

In one image, Julia wore a shiny and reflective black outfit, which seemed to channel Madonna in the 80’s.

Although the Golden Globe winner did not talk about the biopic in this interview, she had previously stated in July that the movie is “supposed to still happen.”

The 34-yar-old also took a moment to reflect on the power of film, “You sometimes watch things and you’re like, ‘Wow, they’ve captured a moment.’ Like, for that actor, it was real.”

Notably, the actress has met Madonna at filmmaker Steven Klein’s birthday in May of 2023 and called both of them Madonna’s.
