On Friday, Taylor Swift announced the Official Release Party event for her upcoming album that will premier in the theatres.
In the first 24 hours, the box office sold $15M presale tickets for the theatrical show showing a positive response towards the album.
The premiere will include an exclusive music video of the first track of the album, The Fate Of Ophelia and behind-the-scenes of the song making process of the whole album.
“I hereby invite you to a dazzling soirée, The Official Release Party of a Showgirl: Oct 3 - Oct 5 only in cinemas!”, Taylor reported to swifties through her Instagram post.
Furthermore, she said that fans will be able to see what inspired her for the making of the album and there will be new lyric videos for the songs.
“Tickets are on sale now. Dancing is optional but very much encouraged…” The 35-year-old concluded as she urged her fans to buy the tickets.
The tickets are said to be only in $12 for the 89 minute long show priced by the Grammy winner herself.
Notably, the sales for the event are expected to reach $30-$50 million, just like The Eras Tour in theaters in 2023, that reached $37 million for presale tickets on its first day only in the U.S.
For the unfamiliar, The Life of A Showgirl is Taylor’s 12th studio album featuring 12 tracks including, The Fate of Ophelia, Elizabeth Taylor, Opalite, Father Figure, Eldest Daughter, Ruin the Friendship, Actually Romantic, Wi$h Li$t, Wood, CANCELLED!, Honey, and The Life of a Showgirl featuring Sabrina Carpenter.
