The beloved American duo Reba McEntire and Rex Linn have announced that they are engaged.
The pair started sating in 2020 after they first met in the 1990s.
They met after Reba’s mother, Jacqueline Smith, had passed away on March 14, 2020 at the age of 93.
The news was confirmed by People as a source close to the couple said, “It happened a few months ago and they are very happy.”
Rex got in touch with the actress after her mother’s death from cancer and they have been “inseparable ever since”.
The Can't Even Get the Blues hitmaker famously said in 2021 that when her mother got sick, he contacted her.
“We'd gotten to see each other before because we're both on Young Sheldon.”, she recalled.
She further spilled, “So starting in March of 2020, we just kept talking and visiting and finally got together, see each other in June.”
Previously, the singer was married to cattle rancher Charlie Battles from 1976 until 1987. Her second marriage was to music manager Narvel Blackstock, which lasted from 1989 until 2015.
