Travis Kelce was dealt a number of crushing blows in his first game this National Football League season, with fiancée Taylor Swift being noticeably absent, to being slapped by Teair Tart and then losing.
The Los Angeles Chargers defensive tackle player had surprisingly smacked the Kansas City Chiefs tight end right across the face, earning himself a penalty but not disqualification.
However, the penalty did not prevent the 28-year-old’s team from taking home the win, and in a post celebrating the achievement, Tart apparently took a dig at the 14-time Grammy winner as well.
The nose tackle wrote in the caption for his Instagram carousel, “I’m too swift with it even in Brazil.”
Although it is unclear if the professional football player knew that he would invite scathing swifties with that caption, he ended up doing just that.
The Lover crooner’s fans rallied up behind her in the comments under the post, with netizens writing things like, “taylor swift has more super bowls than your team btw,” and “Swift’s man got rings, stats, and a legacy. You got jerseys no one buys.”
The next game will take place on Monday, September 15, as the Kansas City Chiefs go up against the Philadelphia Eagles.
