Graham Greene, who is notable for his role in critically acclaimed movie Dances With Wolves, passed away on September 1, 2025 at the age of 73.
Graham died in Toronto hospital which was first reported by Deadline and the news was confirmed by his agent Michael Greene.
In a statement, his staffer gushed about the late actor, recalling: “He was a great man of morals, ethics and character.”
Michael added: “You are finally free. Susan Smith [Graham’s former agent] is meeting you at the gates of heaven.”
The Maverick actor, who played the role of Kicking Bird in 1990s movie, is mostly known for making Hollywood accessible for Indigenous actors.
After starring in Kevin Costner’s project, the legend backed an Oscar nomination in the category Best Supporting Actor.
While the departed soul himself didn’t win, the movie adaptation of Michael Blake won seven Academy Awards in the categories “Best Picture, Best Director, and Best Writing, Screenplay Based on Material from Another Medium."
He was then casted for other main roles in Thunderheart, Transamerica and Wind River.
Although most of the information was kept under the wraps, it was reported that the star was suffering from a “lengthy illness” which resulted in his death.
He leaves behind his beloved wife Hilary Blackmore, daughter and a grandson.
