Lady Gaga set to return with fierce 2025 MTV VMAs performance

Lady Gaga is bringing her Mayhem Ball Tour to the 2025 MTV VMAs, as confirmed by officials.

The Abracadabra singer is currently touring North America before heading to Europe later this month.

On Saturday, Aug. 30, the MTV VMAs officially confirmed that the Grammy-winning star will perform at the awards night.

"There will be magic in the air at the 2025 #VMAs because @LADYGAGA IS PERFORMING! " they wrote on Instagram.

"You won’t want to miss her return, September 7 on @cbstv and @paramountplus!" the MTV account added. "Let mayhem commence!!!"

Gaga, 39, last performed at the (virtually broadcast) awards show in 2020 with Ariana Grande, delivering Rain on Me along with other tracks from her Chromatica album. The duet won Song of the Year, while Gaga also took home the Artist of the Year award.

Before that, her last VMA performance was in 2013.

This year, Gaga leads the nominations with 12 nods, including Artist of the Year and Best Album for Mayhem. She’s also recognised in categories such as Best Direction, Best Art Direction, and Best Cinematography for her Abracadabra music video.
