Beyonce, who recently wrapped up her hit Cowboy Carter tour, was highly anxious during her early days in the industry.

Although the 43-year-old is notable for her confident demeanour, Robert Townsend recalled an encounter where he calmed the nervous icon.

During his appearance on Legacy Talk podcast, Robert recalled the Diva hitmaker’s audition for Carmen where he saw “something special” in her.

According to the director, he “could tell she was really nervous,” turning to other methods to calm her down.

Robert asked “her bodyguard and the label executive who accompanied Bey to be part of the” audition, which was simply a formality.

After Beyonce’s staffers started getting anxious, the songstress “got stronger.”

The Five Heartbeats filmmaker admitted that the screen test “in that room” indicated that she will “go all the way there.”

While it was the starting point for the Single Ladies hitmaker, Carmen: A Hip Hopera is notable due to the singer being in the lead of the movie.

However, things have changed for her as she is an epitome of professionalism for her extraordinary stage performances in front of sold out crowds.

The Halo crooner’s children are also following in her footsteps as they accompanied her on the successful concerts.

Did Beyonce's children perform during Cowboy Carter Tour?

It is to be noted that Blue Ivy and Rumi, who stole spotlights throughout the shows, are yet to decide if they will become performers in the future.
