Austin Butler drops bombshell about painful injury

Austin Butler, who is busy filming the new thriller Caught Stealing, recently made a startling confession.

The 34-year-old Oscar-nominated actor revealed a shocking experience that left him struggling to walk for months while promoting Dune: Part Two in Korea.

In his interview with People, the Elvis star explained he injured himself while walking barefoot in a hotel room, though he initially believed it was just a nerve problem.

“I must’ve stepped on a piece of glass,” he said. “For whatever reason, I thought it was a nerve thing in my foot.”

Butler, famed for his immersive acting, admitted he hobbled around for eight months.

“Right before we were starting to film Caught Stealing, I was just pushing through the pain of running,” he added.

The Golden Globe-winning star also confessed he was constantly battered and bruised while preparing for his upcoming film, Caught Stealing, directed by Darren Aronofsky.

“Every day it was something new,” he said. “I cut my shin open, I had to hop over things… it was brutal.”

In the film, he takes on the role of Hank, a former baseball player who has reinvented himself as a bartender in New York’s East Village.

Notably, the movie is set for release in cinemas on August 29.
