Robbie Williams, who has a long history of feuding with frontman Liam Gallagher and guitarist Noel Gallagher, made a shocking statement about the Britpop icons.

The 51-year-old singer revealed he would jump at the chance to open for Oasis.

Moreover, he described the band as “omnipresent” and at the “peak Zeitgeist” of British music today.

The Rock DJ hitmaker told ITV News that, “I would open for Oasis. We’re not exactly friends, but I don’t think we’re enemies.”

The pair’s rivalry dates back decades, with Noel labelling Robbie the “fat dancer from Take That” at the 2000 Brit Awards.

Five years earlier, Robbie had partied with Liam at Glastonbury Festival, cementing a complex relationship between the artists.

Despite past tensions, the Angels singer has always admired Oasis and said he would have preferred making music like the Gallagher brothers instead of starting with Take That.

This inspiration is central to his forthcoming album, Britpop, which features the iconic red tracksuit he wore during his Glastonbury weekend with Liam.

What's Robbie Williams' biggest hit?

Robbie released his debut studio album, Life thru a Lens, in 1997, featuring his best-selling single, Angels.
