Brandon Blackstock’s daughter offers rare glimpse into his final days

Brandon Blackstock, talent manager and former husband of singer Kelly Clarkson, has passed away after battling skin cancer.

Brandon was married twice, first to Melissa Ashworth, with whom he had a daughter, Savannah Blackstock Lee, and then to Kelly Clarkson.

His daughter, Savannah, recently took to Instagram to share details about the final months of her father’s life.

“Over the past six months, my dad gifted me a new avenue of our relationship, and that was a relationship centred in Jesus,” she captioned the post.

“He always loved the Lord, but six months ago he sought the Lord. He was hungry for the Word, and we did it together.”

She added that his renewed faith brought her comfort, helping her believe he is now in Heaven.

For those unfamiliar, Brandon was married to the singer Kelly from 2013 to 2022.

His illness had previously led the songstress to postpone the remainder of her Las Vegas residency.

At the time, she shared that she needed to “be fully present” as her children’s father battled illness.

How did Brandon Blackstock pass away?

Brandon Blackstock passed away on August 7, 2025, at the age of 48 after a private three-year battle with melanoma, a form of skin cancer.

His death was peaceful under hospice care, with seizures listed as a contributing factor.
