Selena Gomez reveals unusual wish for hit track in new interview

Selena Gomez, who is gearing up to tie knot with Benny Blanco, opened up about an unusual wish for one of her chart-topping hits.

Although the 33-year-old songstress is known for being a pop icon, Selena shared a personal preference about one of her songs.

During her appearance at Therapuss podcast, the People You Know hitmaker revealed her favourite song Who says, which she might re-record.

The Grammy winner admitted that she needs to “redo it” as she sounded “young” in it. She admitted: “I should recut it.”

The track, from When the Sun Goes Down album, dominated the Billboard Hot 100 after release in 2011.

According to the singer, the track has a powerful message which makes her tear up. Selena gave a reason for her reaction: “It was the little me who was there saying these powerful messages.”

The Emilia Perez star maintained: “I still need to hear” those messages.

The song seemingly holds significance for the It Ain’t Me crooner which might even motivate her to “tour” again.

The Only Murders in the Building actress described the experience of singing it as the “most powerful moment.”

This is not the first time she stressed about its importance as she previously gushed about Who Says and understanding the “gravity of the song.”

The lyrics ask several deep questions about accepting one's true self. This was the singer’s response to cyberbullying that she faced.

Elsewhere in the interview, the Fetish songmaker talked about feeling “lack of connection” when she embarked on musical tours in the past.
