Freddie Mercury’s alleged daughter has spoken up about her father and her reasons for keeping her identity hidden up until now in a sentimental and comprehensive statement since her story first made headlines.
The woman, who goes by the pseudonym B, was apparently born in 1976, after the Queen front man had an affair with a woman.
It was previously disclosed that her existence was known by the iconic band’s members, and by the love of his life, Mary Austin, although the 74-year-old has cast a shadow of doubt over the daughter’s narrative.
B has now issued a statement to Daily Mail, talking about the Love Of My Life crooner’s former flame with an eyebrow raising dig.
“I am devastated by Mary Austin's alleged response. For 34 years, the truth of Freddie's life has been distorted, twisted and rewritten, but she said nothing - with the exception of her comment about the movie Bohemian Rhapsody, which she called ‘artistic license,’” she stated.
The woman also noted details of the flamboyant star’s death and the impact it had on her since she had to deal with people misrepresentations and attacks against her father in the wake of his passing.
B recalled crying and mourning her father, while those around her mourned Freddie when she was just 15, and had to grapple with the fact that he won’t be there to see her milestone achievements in life.
The biographical book, Love, Freddie: Freddie Mercury’s Secret Life and Love compiled and penned by Lesley-Ann Jones, is set to contain letters between B and Freddie and is expected to come out in September of 2025.
