Donald Trump supports Sydney Sweeney’s jeans ad after ‘Republican’ revelation

After the jeans advertisement of Sydney Sweeney went viral, people were quick to criticise her for propagating white supremacy propaganda.

Following the discourse, the president of United States Donald Trump has now contributed in the discussion.

Speaking with reporters in Allentown, Pennsylvania, Trump said, “If Sydney Sweeney is a registered Republican, I think her ad is fantastic.”

The statement comes after it was reported that the 27-year-old is a registered Republican in Florida.

According to public records, Sweeney has been registered with the Republican Party of Florida since June 2024.

While public was already criticising the actress for the jeans campaign for American Eagle, in which she says she had “great jeans”, the actress is now receiving further backlash for being an alleged Trump supporter.

Donald Trump, on the other hand, has a history of publicly opposing celebrities who have spoken against him. He infamously took digs at Taylor Swift, Beyonce and recently Stephen Colbert, whose show was cancelled.
