Coldplay might have to fight their jumbotron clip disaster in court after the former CEO for Astronomer, Andy Byron reportedly plans to sue.
The head of the company was infamously caught snuggling up to the firm’s CFO, even though the pair were married to other people.
After the clip of then awkwardly separating from one another went viral, the guilty duo handed in their resignations, and one of the parties is now looking to seek retribution after the affair blew up on the internet and the parties became famous worldwide.
As per Page Six, Byron plans to submit filings claiming “emotional distress” and a “breach of privacy” since he became an internet meme and was also publicly embarrassed by the band’s practice.
Meanwhile legal experts have weighed in on the potential suit, noting that any such action would be dead on arrival, and that the ex-CEO has no real grounds to sue.
In order to have some success with the report, Andy would have to prove that Chris Martin was aware that he was having extramarital relations.
Notably, neither the former head of Human Resources nor the disgraced CEO of the tech firm have issued a statement confirming any lawsuits against Coldplay.
Soon after, a fake apology began circulating, which showcased the former staffer taking complete “accountability” for the whole situation.
While the moment became a sensational meme, it was confirmed that the two are yet to address the speculation.
