Rachel Zegler's sudden exit from the stage during her Evita performance on Thursday infuriated her fans.

The 24-year-old star of the 'woke' Snow White remake became ill during the performance at London's Palladium theatre and that her departure was announced during interval.

Her understudy Bella Brown, who portrayed Perón's Mistress in the musical, stepped in as Evita for Act 2, which opens with Don't Cry for Me Argentina, after a brief break.

She earned five minutes standing ovation.

Zegler's representative confirmed to Daily Mail that she will be returning to the stage tonight, Friday, July 25, for the evening performance. Zegler has received overwhelmingly positive reviews for her portrayal of Evita.

One fan wrote on social media, “Rachel Zegler is ruining everything she's a part of still.”

Others penned, “Give her a job at McDonalds. It’s clear this woman isn't cut out for entertainment. Stop giving her charity. “

They would be demanding their money back on Broadway. Snow White, who is supposedly woke, is causing box office events on two continents.

What ethnicity is Rachel Zegler?

Rachel Zegler declared in 2022, "I'm a white Latina. I'm not stopped on the street because of my appearance. That's my privilege, but I've been spit on when I speak Spanish in the tube. Even though I was born in a New Jersey suburb, I've been told to return to my roots."
