Gweynth Paltrow unexpectedly put out video about Astronomer after the firm gained international attention due to two senior employees being caught in a cheating scandal by ex-husband Chris Martin at a Coldplay concert.
The jumbotron during the band’s concert in Boston, July 16 ended up zooming in on a cuddled-up couple, Andy Byron and Kristen Cabot, who were actually married to two different people.
In an impressive marketing move by the tech company, they have just announced that the Iron Man actress would be representing them as a temporary spokesperson.
The 52-year-old began the video on Astronomer’s official YouTube by stating, “I’ve been hired on a very temporary basis to speak on behalf of the 300+ employees at Astronomer.”
Gweynth then explained that she was here to answer the most commonly asked questions the company had received in the past few days.
The video then cut to questions regarding the scandal, which the Shakespeare in Love star would pay no heed to and explained what the company actually did, in the one-minute clip.
After giving a brief but simple description of Astronomer’s operations, she says, “And now, we’ll return to doing what we do best… delivering game-changing results for our customers. Thank you for your interest in Astronomer.”
Notably, Chris has avoided speaking about the scandal that blew up on the internet, meanwhile the two company heads that were caught have swiftly resigned from the firm.
Soon after, a fake apology began circulating, which showcased the former staffer taking complete “accountability” for the whole situation.
While the moment became a sensational meme, it was confirmed that the two are yet to address the speculation.
