Emma Watson has been banned from driving for six months and she’ll have to pay £1044 for breaking traffic law in Oxford.
The 35-year-old Harry Potter actress was caught speeding at 38mph in a 30mph zone and she was ordered to appear in High Wycombe Magistrates' on Wednesday, July 16.
The actress, who rose to fame after playing Hermoine Granger, didn’t appear at court, however, she admitted her mistake via her lawyer.
According to This is Oxfordshire, the representative for The Beauty and the Beast star said, “My client fully understands her position and will accept her punishment.”
This isn’t the first time that the acclaimed artist, who is keeping a low profile recently, has faced car related issues as she previously had nine points on her license due to three different offences.
In February 2024, her Audi A3 worth £30,000 was impounded by police due to illegal parking in Stratford-upon-Avon.
Emma has maintained a low profile since starting her Masters in Creative Writing from University of Oxford in 2023.
She is reportedly now pursuing a Dphil as well which is Oxford’s version of Phd.
Her last acting stint was in Little Woman, a 2019 film, and since then the actress has stepped away from limelight to focus on other matters.
