John Legend and Kanye West were close friends who were often spotted on double dates with their wives who were friends in the 2010s.
However, since Kanye’s separation from Kim Kardahsian and his very public psychotic episodes, he fell off with John.
The All of Me singer talked about the rapper’s state right now as he has been going on controversial rants on social media which has been received harshly.
“It never affects me personally, but the whole story is sad”, John commented on Kanye.
John also praised Kanye’s contributions to pop culture saying he is “somebody who has made some of the great art of this century as an artist, as a performer, as a fashion designer.”
“All the things that he’s done to make the world more beautiful and more interesting and then for him to be this now is sad. It’s just sad.”.
Commenting on Kanye’s controversial political stances, John revealed the rapper never talked about politics when they were friends.
