Doja Cat, who is known for creating several hits including Paint the town Red, has seemingly decided to embrace her true self.

In 2023, the 29-year-old singer admitted she won’t be working on pop music as she doesn’t find it “exciting” enough.

However, Doja recently revealed in an interview with V Magazine that her upcoming album Vie will be “a pop-driven project.”

The Grammy winner reasoned that being aware of the fact that she “can make pop music, and pop is just that it’s popular.”

The Woman crooner subtly called out the people who are “just bystanders” to this particular genre of music as they consider it a “sport.”

She noted many “don’t see it as music,” but as “football.”

Talking about the concept behind the record, Doja explained that is based on “discourse in relationships,” including “love, romance, and sex.”

Instead of writing general songs about being “sick of men,” the Agora Hills singer based the forthcoming tracks on “love” and her “hopefulness” in the future.

Vie, which is expected to come out in this year, might also have some rap music as she has knowledge of “how to use my voice as an instrument.”

Did Doja Cat undergo any surgery?

The songstress, whose real name is Amala Ratna Zandile Dlamini, admitted undergoing a breast reduction surgery and liposuction in 2023.
