Kate Hudson receives backlash for undergoing expensive medical test

Kate Hudson, known for her role in How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days, shared a medical update that was met with instant backlash.

The 46-year-old actress reminded her followers in recent post: “Health is the greatest gift we can give ourselves and each other.”

The post, which features Kate and fiancé Danny Fujikawa standing in front of MRI machine, received strong responses from her followers.

Fans were enraged at the actress for being “tone-deaf” as many people lack access to basic medical facilities.

One of the users pointed out that the medical test is “really expensive” as it can cost up to “$2,499.”

Another netizen attempted to state a fact that not all can “access healthcare and peace of mind.”

Meanwhile a third fan was “super sad” as they compared people like Kate with insurance to those “people out there wanting a scan but don’t have the means.”

The pair went through a full-body MRI scan as part of campaign for Prenuvo, which can help discover rare diseases, including cancer. 

This came after the Almost Famous star revealed she wanted to “divorce” her parents in order to focus on her work “as an adult.”

She explained that her mother would deny her entry into roles by saying: “never happening.” The nine star then “got the Party of Five and it was so great.”

When is Kate Hudson getting married?

Although Kate announced her engagement to Danny in 2021, the couple have not made any comment about their wedding date.

However, she admitted in an interview that the “contractual thing is tough for me,” when asked about getting married.
