Glastonbury Festival 2025: How much are the artists making?

Glastonbury 2025 has started with a bang on Wednesday, June 25. The festival will go on till Sunday, June 29.

The festival features top music artists from around the world and this time some of the biggest acts are headlining.

Olivia Rodrigo, Neil Young and The 1975 are set to perform at the venue, Worthy Farm in Somerset, across the festival dates.

A common question often asked is that how much do artists earn from a festival as big as Glastonbury.

The officials in authority to book the artists do not disclose how much they are paying for each artist, whether headliners or emerging, there have been multiple unverified reports on some of the festival’s most memorable headliners.

A big musician, who remained anonymous, told The Independent that they were paid £80,000 to £100,000 to play for around an hour.

To headline the festival, as stars like Beyonce, Kanye West and Coldplay have done in the past, an artist can expect to get paid £500,000.

However, Rod Stewart, who is a main act this year, said that it has been costing him £219,000 to perform as he has to be bring his band from America which Glastonbury authority do not pay for.
