Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have issued a heartfelt message ahead of their next big announcement.

Through their Archewell Foundation, the couple marked Social Media Harms Remembrance Day, a US Senate-designated day honouring young lives lost due to online harm.

In a public statement, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex wrote, “Today we mark Social Media Harms Remembrance Day... to commemorate the lives of young people who have lost their lives due to online harm.”

The couple highlighted families in The Parents’ Network who are working to create safer online spaces.

“Archewell recognizes the young people who have suffered harm on social media and commends the families and activists fighting for safer, more accountable platforms,” the message continued.

Meghan added on social media: “Let’s be the example for our youth... and ensure that no child is lost to social media.”

The message comes ahead of Meghan’s expected announcement tied to her lifestyle brand, As Ever.

The couple also previously launched an emotional New York installation displaying 50 smartphones with lock screens showing children who died due to online abuse.
