Prince William has announced the winners of his Earthshot Awards 2025.
The prince landed in Brazil on Monday for a major trip based on his environmental activism.
The trip focused on enviromental activities and creative initiatives to deal with the rising fears of climate change.
At the event, five winners are awarded a prize of £1 million to help fund their environmental works.
This year’s winners have been announced.
One of the winners is from Brazil, Protect and restore nature, whose aim is “Restoring the Atlantic Forest through sustainable financing”.
The next is from Columbia who use public policy to cut pollution and regreen urban areas.
Another is from the African country Nigeria who promote sustainable practices in African fashion through waste-free fashion.
There is one Asian country in the winners’ list which is Bangladesh who look forward to vulnerable communities with health, education, and disaster resilience.
The initiative, which was founded in 2020 by the Prince of Wales and is set to run for 10 years.
William will continue his tour and visit Belem in the Amazon rainforest to attend the COP30.
