Machine Gun Kelly says fatherhood is keeping him ‘alive’

Machine Gun Kelly attended the 2025 Kids’ Choice Awards along with his daughter, Casie.

On fatherhood and how it has changed him, the artist claimed, “It opened up the side of myself that I needed to stay alive to this point. Without her, it’s an easy decline, you know?”

He recently had a baby with actress Megan Fox about whom he said in an interview, “I’m just so elated. It’s just awesome. They smell so good. I was just meant to be a dad.”

He added, “She has a little bit of a fever, so I'm gonna just walk the carpet and go back, you know what I mean, and handle my business. Give her my pheromones, and let her heal up."

Elsewhere, the rapper said about parenting Casie, “I didn’t really hide who I was to her. She’s very comfortable in her own skin and a very strong independent woman.”

About how his past actions have impacted their relationship, Kelly remarked, “It didn't hit until she was able to kind of admit that she was disappointed in me. I'll continue to try and take my job as a f*** up who is no longer that.”
