Bruce Willis’ wife Emma Heming Willis, who is known for her modelling work with major brands, made fans upset with her latest update.
The 70-year-old actor, who retired due to Aphasia, is battling frontotemporal dementia after diagnosis in 2023.
On the occasion of Father’s Day, Emma paid a heartfelt tribute to the Unbreakable actor by honouring “all dads living with disability or disease.”
However, the Perfect Stranger actress admitted that “these symbolic days stir up a lot.” She revealed feeling “profoundly sad.”
Emma stressed that she wish “things could be different for him and lighter for our family,” but seemingly calmed herself by saying: “It is what it is.”
According to the Red 2 star, the phrase “ground[s]” her and accept “what is” without fighting “every step of the way like I used to.”
She then shared sweet moments of Bruce with their daughters sitting infront of a dinosaur skeleton with caption: “I miss and mourn what was. Even those UGG days. I want it all back.”
Rumer Willis, their eldest daughter, took the opportunity to express her pain. She noted: “I know you wouldn’t want me to be sad today so I’ll try to just be grateful.”
Fans were moved with this heartfelt update as one user noted that: "I love how you put this. Keep on keeping on. Happy Father's Day, Bruce."
Many found this extremely relatable as one follower shared personal experience: "You always seem to say exactly what is in my mind. Thank you. I completely understand every word. Our son is 11."
