Travis Barker opens up about his personal experiences and the lessons he would not change, even while revisiting his early years.

The Grammy nominated drummer attended the world premiere of Louder Than Fear at New York's Tribeca Festival on June 13, with the Hulu documentary set to stream on August 13.

In chat with People magazine, he said, "I wouldn't have listened. The only way to learn is to live through it. Even the way I got sober. I got sober in a burn center, sitting there for six months."

He continued, "Because I was so stubborn. I'm relentless in a lot of good ways and back in the day I was relentless in a lot of bad ways."

Moreover, he added, "I wouldn't have learned anything without the lessons. So I'm just happy with the way everything turned out."

The documentary, Louder Than Fear, directed by Justin Krook and Michael Dwyer, traces Barker’s rise, personal struggles, and recovery journey after his 2008 plane crash.

Speaking at the premiere, he called the experience “surreal,” adding that the project took over a decade to complete.
