Dwayne Johnson break silence on hidden health issues

Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson has always seemed unbreakable for a man with a reputation for having an amazing physique.

Behind his tough-guy identity and countless WWE appearances, however, the 53-year-old celebrity was secretly battling a digestive problem that lost medical professionals and interfered with his day-to-day activities for years.

Johnson recently disclosed in an interview with The Mark Hyman Show that he had been silently dealing with a persistent digestive issue for which there was no definitive treatment.

Before he connected with host Dr. Mark Hyman, he told him, "I feel great, and that's the odd thing, but I just can't crack it."

The Rock felt strong physically, but there was a problem with something in his system.

However, the pivotal moment occurred in late 2023 when Johnson was talking to Ari Emanuel, his long-time business partner and former agent, who urged him to try functional medicine.

The goal of functional medicine is to treat underlying causes as opposed to merely symptoms.

Emanuel put him in touch with a leading expert in the field, Dr Hyman, who conducted a virtual consultation to examine Johnson's health in greater detail.
