Nicki Minaj has set the hip-hop world on fire once again after featuring in Lil Wayne’s Banned From NO remix.
The raptress reunites with Weezy to take shots at Jay-Z and the National Football League for picking Kendrick Lamar over Wayne to highlight the 2025 Super Bowl Halftime Show.
Super Bowl 59 was held in the Young Money founder’s hometown of New Orleans and fans were campaigning for him to perform during the big game.
However, Jay-Z’s Roc Nation is the live-music entertainment strategist for the NFL, which ultimately selected Lamar to perform on the biggest stage.
Minaj has apparently been keeping receipts and used her new track to criticise the league and the influential record executive.
“NFL, fire some n***** and then call us!”, the 42-year-old rapped towards the end of the track released in the early hours on Tuesday.
The Anaconda hitmaker also promoted the song on her Instagram and called her collaborator “the GOAT” with a carousel of vintage photos.
Lil Wayne’s latest album is titled Tha Carter VI, which was released on June 6, 2025, and includes the original version of Banned From NO.
