Ana de Armas opens up about surprising support for 'Ballerina'

Tom Cruise gushed about Ana de Armas' upcoming thriller, Ballerina, which opens in theatres on Friday.

The 37-year-old actress revealed how much Cruise's kind assessment of her most recent performance meant to her, despite persistent rumours that the two are dating.

At the movie's Tuesday premiere in Los Angeles, she told E! News, "It makes me really happy and proud."

"It's unbelievable that someone like him is enjoying the film, supporting it, and applauding other people's films," the actress went on.

De Armas continued by highlighting how "amazing" his support has been, telling Variety that it is "unbelievable" that he publicly endorsed the John Wick spinoff using his position.

She further said, "You know what, he supports every movie. He [wants] people to go to the theatres and he really wants the film industry and cinema to do well."
