Jackie Chan shares surprising details about his father

Jackie Chan opened up in a recent discussion about his dad’s secret past while promoting his recent released film.

In a candid chat with the publisher, the 71-year-old iconic actor recalled a shocking conversation he had with his late father that made him “turn to him in the car”, when his father told him, “I have a secret to tell you.”

The Hong Kong actor while recalling revealed to People, one day while he was driving with his father, his father suddenly started saying that he might sleep and never wake up, due to which he wanted to share a secret with him.

The Rush Hour actor shared with the outlet, "​My father was a spy. " This surprising fact made him horrified at that time because he wasn’t able to listen to more insights into his past.

Jackie further continued, “Then, later on, five hours later, I said, okay. Now I'm ready.”

Meanwhile, the documentary Traces of the Dragon: Jackie Chan and His Lost Family, by Mabel Cheung, is based on the Who Am I? star’s life. The film discusses the services of Charles Chan as a government spy during the Chinese Civil War in the 1940s.
