XXXTentacion's album breaks insane record 7 years after his death

The rapper has continued to be a fan favourite as he makes history in rap music

One of XXXTentacion's projects has now been streamed over 12 billion times on Spotify.

The studio album, simply titled ?, has become the first rap album to achieve this significant milestone.

? was released just three months before the rapper’s tragic death in March 2018 and includes collaborations with hitmakers like PnB Rock and Joey Bada$$.

The project witnessed over 130,000 album equivalent units being sold in its first week of being released and has since received platinum certification five times by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA).

The album made its debut at the top of Billboard 200 while its single Sad! climbed to number one on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.

This milestone comes as XXXTentacion's collaboration with Juice WRLD, whoa (mind in awe), is set to release on May 30.

The original version of the track was included on the singer’s posthumous 2018 album SKINS.

How did XXXTentacion die?

XXXTentacion (real name Jahseh Dwayne Ricardo Onfroy) was killed at the age of 20 on June 18, 2018 after being shot in Deerfield Beach, Florida. The three suspects fled the scene but were later apprehended and given life sentences in 2023.
