Emma Stone appeared to have a major red-carpet meltdown when a surprise guest got up in her face during the Cannes Film Festival on Friday.
At the Eddington screening, the 36-year-old actress’s face twisted in shock and terror as she posed for pictures with her co-star Pedro Pascal and Austin Butler.
When a bee began to fly a bit too close for comfort, her co-star began to laugh at her response and attempted to assist her in swatting it away.
However, Butler tried to blow the bee away, but unintentionally caused it to fly even closer to Stone, while her two supporting co-stars tried to save her as she broke down over the unexpected surprise.
After using his hand to wave the bee away, Pascal put his arms around the actress and caught her when her knees gave way and she pretended to melt in relief.
The Poor Things lead later experienced a wardrobe wobble as well, but fortunately, the beloved Hollywood star saved her.
