Elizabeth Hurley reveals new romance with Billy Ray is not ‘surprising’

Elizabeth Hurley and Billy Ray Cyrus’s relationship was announced by the Bedazzled star on her social media which lead to a flurry of netizens being concerned about their dynamic.

The Gossip Girl alum has now defended her relationship with the former Christmas In Paradise co-star, with a list of things that the duo has in common, which is why she doesn’t consider their relationship “surprising.”

During an appearance at the Breast Cancer Research Foundation’s Hot Pink Party on Tuesday night, the 59-year-old told Page Six, “We both like to laugh a lot, and we both love the country.”

She continued, ““And we both love country music, both love movies. We’ve got a lot in common — and cowboy boots, definitely.”

The Austin Powers: International Man of Mystery actress had also noted that she was aware that “there has been quite a reaction,” to their romance.

However, Elizabeth did not attend the event with her beau and instead opted to walk the pink carpet with her 23-year-old son, Damian. 

The model matched the carpet with a pink flowery gown which featured a thigh-high slit, allowing her matching pink heels to peek through her dress.

Notably, the Teen Choice Award nominee has been an active participant in raising funds and awareness for the cause.
