Tom Cruise has been married thrice with his second married lasting from 1999 to 2001 with the Australian actress Nicole Kidman.
The Hollywood legend praised his ex wife in a rare instance while speaking to Sight and Sound.
When being casted for Eyes Wide Shut, Tom revealed that he suggested Nicole to the filmmaker Stanley Kubrick.
“I suggested Nicole play the role [of Alice]. Because obviously she’s a great actress.”, the actor shared.
Speaking about working on the movie, Tom said “I thought the film was very interesting, and I wanted to have that experience.”
“That fits the narrative that people came up with, but I definitely didn’t see it like that. We were happily married.” Tom said about their marriage.
The actor said they would go go-kart racing while filming for the movie, “We’d rent out a place and go racing at three in the morning.”
