Reese Witherspoon makes shocking claim about son Tennessee

Reese Witherspoon apparently has a lot of pet names given to her by various people in her life, but the inexplainable one comes from her 12-year-old.

The Legally Blonde actress shares two children Ava Elizabeth Phillippe, 25, and Deacon Reese Phillippe, 21, with ex-husband Ryan Phillippe while her youngest, Tennessee, was with Jim Toth, whom she divorced in 2023 after twelve years together.

The 49-year-old took to her TikTok to participate in a trend which lists the different names people call them by, noting she has “no clue why [shrug emoji]” Tennessee calls her by the one he chose.

“Morty” is the unusual nickname Reese’s son has for his mother, among other like “R Dubs, Ladybug, Pieces and Miss Reese" which her friends, mother, high school pals and her friends’ children respectively remember her by.

The clip posted by the Gone Girl star was playfully captioned, “Just call me Morty” with another shrug emoji, with Sabrina Carpenter’s pop hit Busy Woman playing in the background.

Reese could be seen wearing a striking pink rolled up shirt, light blue jeans and a pair of glasses as she sat outside a trailer, holding onto what seemed like a script and a tumbler for drinks.
