Lana Del Rey attended the 2025 Met Gala in full style, but noticeably missing was her husband, Jeremy Dufrene.
Arriving at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, she gave a nod to her alligator guide partner by adorning small alligator clips in her hair.
She came to the event with Valentino creative director Alessandro Michele, donning a Valentino ball gown.
The co-chairs for the Met Gala were revealed to be Colman Domingo, Lewis Hamilton, A$AP Rocky, Pharrell Williams and Anna Wintour as well as LeBron James as the honorary chair.
The gala is always held at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York, serving as a fundraiser for The Costume Institute. The theme for this iteration of the gala was Superfine: Tailoring Black Style.
Being inspired by guest curator Monica L. Miller’s 2009 book Slaves to Fashion: Black Dandyism and the Styling of Black Diasporic Identity, Curator in Charge Andrew Bolton revealed that it explores “the Black dandy as both a concept and an identity signifier.”
A post on the museum’s social media page further states that the gala “presents a cultural and historical examination of Black style from the 18th century to the present through an exploration of the concept of dandyism.”
