Christina Applegate opens up about dealing with MS

Christina Applegate, wife of Dutch musician Martyn LeNoble, is getting candid about the pain she’s experiencing due to her disease.

In the latest episode of the podcast Conan O’Brien Needs a Friend, the 53-year-old joined Jamie-Lynn Sigler, who is also dealing with multiple sclerosis (MS).

“If people saw what my life was like on the daily, they wouldn't they wouldn't be able to do it. Because I can sometimes not do it. It's really, really hard,” she disclosed. 

The actress also mentioned that she rarely goes outside of her home currently.

She further added that people often blame her for getting MS, which hints that she did something wrong in her past that resulted in the condition.

Recalling her 2008 diagnosis, the Primetime Emmy Award winner noted, “It's, like, I had breast cancer as well, so, ‘Oh, you must have done something,’ That stigma is — I'm used to it now, but it was for a while, like, was so hard to swallow because why the f would you think that I would do something to have this?”

In 2021, Christina found out she had a CNS disorder, MS, an autoimmune disorder that affects the activity of the central nervous system.
