Miley Cyrus’ mother opens up about ‘hard times’ with Billy Ray Cyrus

Miley Cyrus was born to country singer Billy Ray Cyrus and his wife Leticia “Tish” in 1992.

The couple ended their 19 year long marriage and have moved on in their respective lives with new partners.

Billy Ray Cyrus has been in a relationship with English actress Elizabeth Hurley, meanwhile Tish got married to actor Dominic Purcell.

The pop star’s mother opened up about her time while she was still married to Billy Ray Cyrus.

“Your dad was on the road so much and it is tough”, Tish said.

Tish reflected on the “hard times” during their marriage when she was “just surviving and getting through every day”, speaking on her podcast with her eldest daughter Brandi, Sorry We’re Cyrus.

The 57-year-old revealed it was a “crazy period” when the kids were younger and she dealt with a lot of anxiety and she “didn't know what to do”.

Tish was joined by her daughter Noah Cyrus who also added to the conversation and expressed her pride for her mother saying “You got yourself through such a hard time and I'm proud of you”.

Miley Cyrus has only been married once. The singer was married to Australian actor Liam Hemsworth from 2018 to 2020.
