Tom Hanks, Rita Wilson Celebrate 37th Wedding Anniversary at a Vacation Spot

The Hollywood power couple, Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson, were good friends before they officially accepted their relationship in 1986 and got hitched in 1988.

The two actresses worked in the first film together in August 1985, Volunteers. During the movie, Hanks said that the two stars looked at each other and realised the chemistry between them “couldn’t be denied”.

Now, the power couple has been married for 37 years and still look fresh, sweet and collected in a selfie posted on Tom Hanks' Instagram account from swimming in the middle of the mountains with the caption, "37 years married. Today! Love you, Mrs. -Mr.THanks.”

Before marrying Rita Wilson, Hank was married to his college sweetheart, Samantha Lewes.

The first meetup of two couples happened on Bosom Buddies in 1981, an ABC sitcom where Hanks had been starring for the previous two seasons.

After their marriage, the stars welcomed their first child together in August 1990, and in December 1995, Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson welcomed their Second Child Together.

In the gap between their two kids, the spouses were seen attending Tom Hanks' walk of fame ceremony in 1992, and starred in their second film, Sleepless in Seattle, together in 1993, which was a big hit screen office with an Academy Award nomination.

Since then, the popular love birds have been supporting each other through thick and thin, being there for others’ big days, ceremonies, and debuts.

In March 2019, Tom Hanks appeared at Rita Wilson’s Walk of Fame ceremony, while in March 2020, during the years of COVID, the beloved couple fought together from the virus.

And after 37 years of empowering each other, the couple celebrates their anniversary at a vacation spot.
