Prince Harry is set to make a high-profile appearance in Las Vegas next month but the date is raising eyebrows.
The Duke of Sussex will be in Nevada on May 6, the same day his son, Prince Archie, turns six years old.
Harry will be helping launch the Diana Award’s new Pledge to Invest initiative, a program designed to celebrate and support youth leaders around the world, in partnership with the only charity that bears his late mother’s name, Princess Diana.
The event, hosted by Dr. Tessy Ojo, CEO of the Diana Award, will feature conversations about youth leadership and business investment in the next generation.
Harry will appear on stage alongside speakers including Paul Fipps, President of Global Customer Operations at ServiceNow, and two Diana Legacy Award recipients: Sikander "Sonny" Khan and Christina Williams.
Sikander, a Pakistani-American innovator at Microsoft, leads the Paani Project, which has helped build over 20,000 water wells in Pakistan.
Christina, from Jamaica, is an attorney and advocate fighting for equitable access to education, healthcare, and tech for marginalized communities.
"The Diana Award is proud to launch Pledge to Invest, an opportunity for forward-thinking businesses to make a strategic, measurable and high-impact investment in youth leadership," Dr. Ojo said in a statement.
While the event carries personal meaning for Harry, the date has sparked speculation, as it falls on his son’s birthday.
