Jenna Ortega, known for her role in Wednesday, revealed a childhood dream that will soon realise as she embarks on a new journey.

The 22-year-old actress has been part of at least 23 movies after gaining recognition for playing younger Jane in Jane the Virgin.

However, Jenna is now looking out to expand her artistic talent beyond acting as she gears up to step in the director's shoe.

In an interview with V Magazine, the You actress talked about a script she has been focusing on for “almost 10 years,” believing the right time has come to bring the idea to reality.

The Scream star feels it is “weird” finally working on something that “I thought of when I was younger and when I first started out in this field.”

After starring alongside The Weeknd in Hurry Up Tomorrow, Jenna disclosed that she is “just putting the puzzle pieces together in my head.”

The Beetlejuice Beetlejuice actress reasoned why she wants to sit in the director’s seat for this particular project: “I see that for myself. I just feel that’s the way my brain wants to work and think.”

Notably, this is not the first time the child actor tried new field of work as she earlier debuted as an executive producer of horror movie Death of a Unicorn.

When is 'Hurry Up Tomorrow' releasing?

Her upcoming movie with the Canadian singer revolves around a popstar, who suffers from insomnia and gets engulfed into an odyssey with a woman. The film is scheduled to release on May 14, 2025.
