Gwen Stefani sat down for an interview on The Drew Barrymore Show where she opened up about the key to her marriage with Blake Shelton.
“Best advice would probably be, make sure you have a third party," she stated while raising a finger in reference to God.
About her preferences for date night, the singer said, "I'm literally like — couch, blanket, cookies, chips. I have the dogs right here; we have two couches...Blake's on that couch and we're like 'Hi!'"
"I would sit next to him," she joked, "but he's gigantic and we don't fit anywhere."
The pair met in 2014 while working as coaches on The Voice, with Stefani being married to Gavin Rossdale and him to Miranda Lambert.
They both ended up finalizing their divorce by July 2015, and began dating that same year.
"We had just met, and it was chaos," Stefani said at the time, about the period after their respective divorces. "Both of our lives were in complete turmoil, all over the ground. Nothing could save us at that point. There was a point where I was like, 'I can't even talk to you. This is insane. I already have enough problems. This is not happening anymore. We're not going to text or nothing.'"
