Pope Francis, the first Latin-American leader of the roman Catholic Church was announced dead on Easter Monday by the Vatican’s Cardinal, ending a reign of 12 years.
The Catholic leader was battling with pneumonia for a long time and succumbed to death after facing complications in the recent weeks.

The British monarch King Charles III, who met the Pope recently, shared his tribute stating him and the Queen Consort Camilla have “heavy hearts” and remembered his “compassion” and “tireless commitment” to the people.

Pope Francis was the leader of the Catholic Church and sovereign of the Vatican city state. He was born as Jorge Mario Bergoglio in Flores, Argentina on December 17, 1936.
