Hollywood superhero Ben Affleck is getting brutally honest about what it was really like behind the mask.

The Batman v Superman star just confessed that wearing the iconic Batsuit was less superhero fantasy and more sweaty nightmare.

In a candid new interview with GQ, Affleck didn’t hold back when asked about his time playing the Caped Crusader in the DCEU franchise, calling the batsuit “horrendous” and anything but heroic.

“I hated the Batsuits. They’re hot. They don’t breathe,” he said. “There’s no thought put into the human being. So what happens is that you just start sweating. I’m already — I sweat, you know what I mean? So in that thing, you’d just be pouring water.”

The Oscar-winner admitted the discomfort made filming incredibly difficult.

“It just made it hard to make the movie because you’re so hot. It also does not make you feel very heroic, because you’re instantly exhausted and really sweaty,” he added.

Affleck even joked that maybe fellow Batmen like Christian Bale and Robert Pattinson handled the heat better, saying:

“Maybe Christian or Rob, guys like that, were just better at dealing with it.”

Ben first donned the cape in Zack Snyder’s 2016 film Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice opposite Henry Cavill as Superman.

He went on to reprise the role in Suicide Squad and Justice League, but it’s clear that behind the stoic stares and action scenes, he was dying inside the suit.
