Seems like the festivalgoers were not the only ones planning to have a blast at this year’s Coachella.

The annual event is currently taking place at the Empire Polo Club, Indio, California and is headlined by Green Day, Lady Gaga, Travis Scott and Post Malone.

However, concerns arose among festival attendees after news surfaced of a possible bomb threat.

According to the Cathedral City Police Department, a 40-year-old suspect was arrested on Saturday for allegedly making bomb threats near the festival.

Authorities reveal that Davis Darvish from Santa Monica made his threat to the security personnel at Agua Caliente Casino, which is located 17 miles from the golf club where Coachella is being held.

The suspect made his threat around 11 a.m., prompting a swift response from the police, who were able to track Darvish's movement around the area using automated license plate recognition.

Palm Springs officers apprehended Darvish around 12 p.m., who is being held at John Benoit Detention Center. However, no explosives or bomb making materials were found in his vehicle.

What is the Coachella Festival named after?

The Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival is named after Coachella Valley in the Colorado Desert of Southern California in Riverside County.

The valley also hosts many other annual events including the Stagecoach Country Music Festival, the Riverside County Fair and National Date Festival.
